Month of Ramadan – Where Disciples of Islam & Endeavors of fulfillment comes first!

One of the most respective concerns in Islam is the Holy Month of Ramadan (Arabic; رمضان), in which The Qur’an was reveled and Majority Muslims fast in this admiration. Muslims value the importance of Ramadan, by showing their deepest concern and deference during this Month. Fasting is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Muslims fast from daylight hours from dawn to sunset and spent majority of their time in worship and praying to ALLAH 'Subhana Wa Ta'ala.

Fasting reflects the spiritual and eternal devotion one has, for his/her Lord.  The purpose of fasting is not about abstaining from eating and drinking anything, it is an expression of diverting your heart and soul from all evil or dreadful acts. Ramadan leads to purify one’s souls, mind and heart from every harmful activities and impurities that deceases one’s Faith (Iman).

Live your Life like every day in Ramadan and the Akhirah will become your Eid!

Iman (Arabic: الإيمان‎) defines the believer's faith on his/her Lord and to all aspects of Islam. It denotes the signifance of ALLAH 'Subhana Wa Ta'ala’s with respect His blessings, attributes and heavenly showered and unseen forgiveness. Considering this, Ramadan is also said to be the Month of Patience. As stated & I quote: “The fast of Ramadan, which is the month of patience, and the fast of three days of each month, clean all evils in the heart.” (Musnad, 5:363)

Although a Muslim is well aware of the Islamic beliefs, rituals and teachings, Ramadan is a profound reminder for all Muslims. It teaches us about patience, self-control, sacrifice, respect, generosity and faith. Fasting is not the matter of choice, it is compulsory for Muslims when they reach puberty. But of course, one may leave them, if facing any serious illness, disability or disease. We can contemplate the worth of Ramadan, considering its blessings by a Qur’an Verse: “When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained.” [Sahih Bukhari Volume 3, Book 31, Number 123]

Laylat al-Qadr (Arabic: لیلة القدر‎), is another auspicious principle during Ramadan. It is said to be "the night of power" or 'the night of decree". Qur’an was reveled in this night. On this night, Muslims pray for ALLAH 'Subhana Wa Ta'ala’s mercy and forgiveness. Recitation of Holy Qur’an is done keenly. The Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa alehi wsallam) said: “He who prays on Laylat al-Qadr in faith and expectation of its reward will be forgiven his previous sins.” [Sahih Bukhari]

While summing up the Islamic chronicles on Ramadan, I got the chance to discover the benefits of fasting along with the importance of Dates. Though dates are good for one’s health and diet, research has now scientifically proved that dates are full of carbohydrates, fibers, sugar, magnesium, and potassium. Dates maintain a nutritious balance by retaining many health problems, physical fitness and weight.

Ending up by adding, Ramadan is a month of blessings to enrich our own souls. We should be thankful to our Lord, for selecting us in millions, to gain spiritual nourishment for our heart, mind & soul once more.

The Prophet (sallallähu alaihi wasallam) said, "Indeed, anyone who fasts for one day for Allah's Pleasure, Allah will keep his face away from the (Hell) fire for (a distance covered by a journey of) seventy years." [Bukhari Book: 52 No: 93]

Self Defense – Not only for Learning but for Protection- in this Brutal World!

Generally speaking, every Muslim is proud to be born in a Muslim society (Mash-ra).  We are thankful for Allah Al Mighty that He selected us to be born in an Islamic home-land. Although there are many differences like cultural diversity, caste systems, Shia-Sunni disputes, everyone (with either of any societal variation) is happy & proud to say that, “yes I am a Muslim”.

Being a Muslim, every individual has a keen belief that one day, I will be in my grave with all my life’s deeds (either good or bad), I will be answerable to my Lord, of what I did for Him, for my family, for my siblings and so on & so forth. I won’t carry any belongings of my own like car/clothing/accessories/cell phones etc., what is going with me inside my grave is all my life experiences. With this belief, every Muslim is also frightened of the word “Death” (fotegi) & “Grave” (Qaber).

Well for us, this is clearly implicit & understood. But how strange, when you don’t even feel secure when you are buried in your own grave. Especially young girls/women who die cause of any other reason like any disease or mishap. A recent reading, http://is.gd/5H4OjG  made me shivered when I read that a young girl’s dead body was used with the intention of rape. Young girls does not  feel secure when they are alive in this brutal society, they don’t even have a surety of having a peaceful rest in their graves. Deeply saddened!

Another provoking reading, http://is.gd/mYuZPa, where the girl was living with all her fears in her heart. She was threatened to be killed if she said a word about the gang rape. Nobody heard her screaming, no body helped her heartily and she was straightly refused for any protection. How good it would be, if she had some knowledge of self defense? She would have strike back to the gang and shot them down, or give a slap to any annoying gazing.

This is not the end at all; my heartfelt sadden to death when I read: http://is.gd/lNLPa6  a story, where a man tried to rape his pregnant daughter-in-law. While reading I found that, Almost 30% of women in Pakistan go through a rape or attempted rape at least once in their lives. They do survive. The pain stays, but they go on with their lives.” (http://is.gd/4KS9Jt).

Why don’t we raise our voices on the importance of Self defense training, especially for girls? They should be trained to protect themselves for any awkward situation like this. At least they should be trained the basics. We more or less hear daily on different news bulletins, that the young girl is either dead/murdered/physically tortured/raped or physically misused. To cut the level of cruelty, we should emphasize on the self defense training for our own safety and protection.

The reason of this writing was not to propagate the stories mentioned above, but to share the important of self defense training for girls. It is a huge deterrent for young girls & women of Pakistan. Its learning and practice is a positive gateway for all the young girls, to live in such a brutal society with their chins-up!

Although such men’s insanity cannot be controlled, at least we can minimize the rate of such sacrifices. Secondly, when media will share any successful story of self defense performed by a girl, it will boost the morale of many other young girls who are not aware of self defense importance. Most probably, many families will encourage their daughters to learn about it. Let’s make it a part of our elementary education. Every school should promote the basic of self defense for its students.

The more they will learn, the more we will have a protected environment in future!

Silence (A Poem)

SILENCE IN AIR

Likes a nightmare,
No one is here to care,
I wish someone can hear,
The sharp sound in air,
Violence, terror and bombing everywhere.
Have mercy on the poor Palestinian Children!
Their lives are full of agony, sorrow and pain,
Where there is nothing for them but an agonizing strain,
Of hatred, devastation and humanity slain,
What they have lost and what they have gained?
Might not be possibly retained!
Let’s build a castle of Glee, for those who have restrained,
With an immense feeling of detain and without any complain,
We can share the tears of the Palestinian children,
So that their smiles can return,
And the evil can fully burn,

In that air, which will no more be a night mare!

Inshallah!

Medicare elucidation with a summary of its parts A, B, C & D

Medicare is the national health insurance program, by the government for medical and health related services. These services are provided to the specific group of people. Medicare is administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Since 1965, Medicare guarantees access to health insurance for Americans ages 65 and older and younger people with disabilities as well as people with end stage renal disease.

Medicare is providing services in four major parts. These parts are categorized according to the specific services in different sections of healthcare industry. These parts are known as A, B, C & D. Lets discuss each of them:
Part A: Hospital Insurance
  • Helps cover inpatient hospitals care
  • Helps cover skilled nursing facility, hospice, and other medical services
Part B: Medical Insurance
Part B includes other medical services & supplies that are not covered by Part A. It also helps the doctor to cater the medical bills from outpatient visits & care.
  • Helps cover doctors' and other health care providers' services, outpatient care, durable medical equipment, and home health care
  • Helps cover some preventive services to help maintain your health and to keep certain illnesses from getting worse
Part C: Medicare Advantage
Part C covers the element of choice. This plan allows you to select to receive healthcare services through a provider organization. This works incredibly to reduce your costs of receiving medical services. To enroll in Part C, you must have both parts A & B.
  • Offers health plan options run by Medicare-approved private insurance companies
  • Medicare Advantage Plans are a way to get the benefits and services covered under Part A & B
  • Most Medicare Advantage Plans cover Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D)
  • Some Medicare Advantage Plans may include extra benefits for an extra cost
Part D: Prescription Drug Coverage
This part of Medicare is voluntary & provides outpatient prescription drug coverage. Part D is only available through private insurance companies that have contracted with government.
  • Helps cover the cost of prescription drugs
  • May help lower your prescription drug costs and help protect against higher costs in the future
  • Run by Medicare-approved private insurance companies
Policies driven by Medicare help the private health insurance companies to utilize Medicare benefits & privileges. There are many Medicare plans like HMOs (Health maintenance Organization) or PPOs (Preferred Provider Organization). In general the benefits cover:
  • Payment  for Doctor Bills
  • Handling hospitalization charges/costs
  • Prescription Drugs
  • Settlement of other related medical services & products.
The meaningful use program by Medicare brings supplementary benefits in addition to the federal government financial incentives. It allows providers and practices enhance their services by reducing errors and quick access to information.

Holding, Caring & Sharing – All with your Mobile

It was a strange day for me & even for my old cell, Nokia. I tossed my old cell phone on the sofa, switched it off after all the data transfer into my new Blackberry & then went to sleep in my bed room without realizing that there was a time when I used to go sleep with my Nokia for the morning alarm.

Without considering all my happy & sad moments, which were spent with my old Nokia, I went sleeping.

Going out cycling, shopping, travelling & even winter long-walk with my old Nokia was truly amazing & spiritual. I had more than 1000 pictures with all my favorite collection of Music. My Nokia was never troublesome & annoying. I mistakenly dropped it many times on floors, beds & unfortunately once on the main road even, but it never made me feel sad!

Apart from perceiving the mobile just as a communication tool, a phenomenal connection & relation do exists like an Emotional Engagement.

It was my best pal to give me audacity & courage whenever I felt lonely & deprived. By seeing all my cheerful moments in pictures & videos, I used to get strong & optimistic. It was a great reminder for me, to carry on all my daily tasks, birthdays & much more. My old messages (sms) with a bunch of hilarious & adventurous thoughts are still saved in the heart (inbox) of my old Nokia mobile. Making me feel more joyful & contented when I used to celebrate all my happiest moments was extremely pleasing indeed!

Lastly, the next morning when I woke up with an annoying tone of Blackberry alarm at 6:45 a.m. to get ready for Office, I threw my BlackBerry on the bed, as I used to do the same with my old Nokia & went to get fresh up. There was complete silence was in my room, I switched off the water tap & heard something very Strange!

That strange tone was my old Nokia morning alarm tone ringing since long. I quickly came to see where it is & why it’s alarming since I switched off it yesterday night?

It was alarming on the bed. I clicked Silence & a sudden pop-up came saying “Do You want your Cell to be On?” That was the most emotional situation for me, by clicking No.

I hold my cell, looked at it for sometime & revised all my superb memories spent with it.

The reason of sharing this adventure in writing is not about promoting Blackberry as a brand, but only to explore a hidden relationship between you & your mobile.

Now my Nokia mobile is resting in the safest place of my room. You need rest buddy J

Meaningful Use with its Meaningful Results

Meaningful Use (MU) defines the use of certified Electronic health record (EHR) to improve quality care, reduce health disparities, and achieve better clinical outcomes within a healthcare organization. After the implementation of meaningful use, significant changes are done to transform a better healthcare system and following major changes will be seen:

    1.  Developed Quality, Safety, and Efficiency
    2.  Patient Commitment
    3.  Care Coordination between Clinics and Hospitals
    4.  Improved Public Health and Preventive Medicine
    5.  Complete Privacy and Security Protection

Physicians, after adopting electronic health records in a meaningful way, may have been awarded from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. More than 55,000 physicians received bonuses for meaningful use of EHRs in 2011 or 2012. Doctors or hospitals found ineligible for an EHR incentive after an audit would be asked to return the bonus payment.

Adoption of meaningful use program is now a fundamental requirement for the physicians, since two and half years is the rough time span left to implement Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems without facing any financial penalties. Practices should take serious notice on these deadlines and physicians need to focus all the essential elements necessary to meet the criteria of Meaningful Use (MU) bonuses.

For the ongoing success of EHR Incentive Programs, many billing companies have designed webinars and profound coaches that will walk physicians through solutions surrounding EHR issues and MU criteria. Each webinar with its training is interactive and featured. Identifying the key elements to achieve MU bonuses is the core objective. It will also provide an overview of related initiatives, incentives and penalties and how they will impact physician practices.

How painful it can be: Only that girl & her mother can understand!

Strangely but sharing the most painful trauma of this current society!

No matter how much the girl is educated, decent and trustworthy, if she is not smart, tall, have beautiful hair or feet, men don’t marry them. Rejecting a girl or a woman only because that she is not tall enough (5’2, 5’3, or 5’4), she is bulky & she does not have sexy looks, sounds painful & is even extremely agonizing for that women & her mother.

Why men & their family don’t realize, that the girl didn't make her look like this, Allah Al Mighty has created everyone Equally. Why people don’t realize that, it’s really hurting & dreadful for that girl & her family who has been constantly rejected because she is not pretty!

Attractiveness, smartness & style do not remains forever, what remains forever is the understanding between a wife & husband, which is only built on good character & heartfelt acceptance.

I really don’t understand, why men & their mother demands for another Aishwarya Rai. According to this modern era, what preferred is: “My Bahu (daughter -in- law) or wife should be extremely beautiful & as presentable as a decoration piece!” Let’s go with the most phenomenal example of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. They are happily living for years & will remain with each other forever. Both accepted one another without having any sanction of height, figure and looks!

Age is also another issue which is made problematic, although it’s not in reality. Big Age difference (10 to 15) between husband & wife is normally considered to be very strange & weird. Why don’t we neglect this nonsense criterion if both husband & wife are happy & satisfied with each other? We should pray for their happy life rather than pointing out the negatives.

It would be wiser to say that a Man is lucky if he had a good life partner, concerning her clean desires, beautiful nature, respect for elders and admiration for her life partner in every phase of life. No matter if she is tall, pretty, hot or sexy.

"Among the Muslims the most perfect, as regards his faith, is the one whose Character is Excellent, & the best among you are those who treat their wives well " Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)
If she fulfils all the desires said by her husband, her husband will definitely appreciate & love her, without keeping in mind that my wife is not tall or smart enough! A true husband is the one who loves her wife not on the base that she is good looking, tall, attractive or else, but on the base of her good & faithful deeds for him & his family!

Just think that one day that man will have a daughter too & he will see how dreadful it is to see someone rejecting her own daughter on the base of figure, height & smartness!
Think & share!
